Dear Pothier-Citizens Campus families,
I am writing to give you an update on the status of our campus COVID-19 contact tracing investigation. As you know, the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) is currently conducting a contact tracing investigation on the Campus due to a positive COVID-19 case of a staff member. The RIDOH is completing a full investigation at this time and may still reach out to staff and families if they have not yet done so.
The RIDOH is currently working on many cases throughout the state and experiencing a greater number than usual of contact tracing cases. Due to the case investigation not being completed at this time, we will continue distance learning through November 3rd and will return in person to the school buildings on Wednesday, November 4th. On November 4th, we will return with our preschool, kindergarten, self contained and students with the last names beginning with M-Z in grades 1-5 in person.
All students in grades Pre-K through grade 5 will be learning from home and staff will be teaching from home until Wednesday, November 4th.
Please feel free to reach out to myself or Mrs. Carvalho, if you have any questions or concerns. Furthermore, if your child is in an in person kindergarten or self-contained classroom, and they need their laptop, please come to the building your child attends for a drive through Chromebook pick up, tomorrow, October 27th from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
As always, thank you for your understanding and support.
Mrs. Moniz - Principal
Mrs. Carvalho - Assistant Principal
